"Christmas Explosion Box"

Supplies:

· Scor-Pal®

· 9” square of cardstock for box bottom

· 9” square of cardstock for box inside pages (optional)

· 5 1/8” square of cardstock for box top

· Four 2 7/8” squares of patterned paper for box side decoration

· Four 2 3/4” squares of patterned paper for inside decoration

Scor-Tape™

· Stamps, Ink and embellishments

 

Step 1:

Line up your 9” cardstock for the bottom of the box on the top left of your Scor-Pal and score at 3” and 6”.

Step 2:

Turn your box bottom 90 degrees and score again at 3” and 6”. You will have scored your cardstock into 9 even squares.

Step 3:

Score your outside squares diagonally. Pre-fold each score.

The diagonal folds will be pushed in towards the center to make the box bottom.

Step 4:

Tape your 2 7/8” pieces of patterned paper on the square pieces that will make the outside walls.

 

Step 5:

Cut your 2 3/4” squares of patterned paper in half diagonally and tape to the outer squares on the inside of your box. Refer to photo.

INNER BOX

Step 6: Score your 9” piece of cardstock for the box inside pages at 3” and 6”. Turn 90 degrees and repeat to score into nine even squares. See diagrams in Step 1 and Step 2.

Step 7:

Cut your outer squares off , leaving a cardstock cross. Cut 1/8” off each end of the cross.

 

Step 8:

Decorate the inside pages. Add tape to the center square and tape into your box.

 

Step 9:

Take your 5 1/8” piece of cardstock and stamp to decorate.

Score at 1” on each side.

 

Print tutorial

Step 10:

Cut four of the scored lines as shown. It will create small flaps. These will be your glue flaps.

Step 11:

Cut the glue tabs down a little so they won’t show when you tape them down with Scor-Tape™.

Step 12:

Tape your lid together.

Step 13:

Decorate your lid. Fold up the sides of your box. Put on the lid and voilà an Explosion Box.

 

Pockets:

Cut 1 3/4" x 2 7/8" of designer paper. Add Scor-Tape™ on the bottom and both sides. Do NOT tape the top edge of pocket. See photo for placement.

 

Tags:

Cut 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" pieces of card stock, trim to tag shape and add ribbon.
