Our Guest Instructor is Beth Silaika

Beth Silaika is a creative concept designer from Rexford, NY. She is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and avid paper craft artist. She is the owner and lead designer of Freckled Fun Designs, an online custom graphic design studio which specializes in watermarks and custom blog & website banners.

She is the mother to six small children, aged 10 years to six months. She designs for Hanna Stamps, Kitchen SInk Stamps as well as Scor-Pal. Every Sunday Beth hosts a Featured Stamper Challenge on SplitcoastStampers web site.

Step 1:

Cut two pieces of card stock - 3 3/8 “x 7” and 5” x 11”.

Step 3:

Score 5” x 11” piece of cardstock at 3 1/2” and 8 1/2”.

Step 4:

Fold in the tabs, commit your crease with the Scor-Tool to flatten fold. This is very important especially if you are using heavy double sided designer paper.

Step 5:

Apply Scor-Tape™ or other strong double sided adehsive along tabs and right across back. Remove covering of tape from the tabs. Glue in place to the 3 1/2” portion of the 5” x 11” cardstock. Remove covering of tape on the back of the pocket.

Step 6:

Remove covering of Scor-Tape™ on the back of the pocket. Fold up the pocket and ensure it makes a good bond.

Step 7:

Use a fun punch (designer label shown here - you could use a circle, square or scalloped shape) to create a place in the pocket which will allow you to pull out the CD easily.

Step 8:

Decorate cardstock inside and out. Corners can be rounded with corner rounder.

Step 9:

Punch out an extra tab and glue to the front flap. You will apply one piece of Velcro to the reverse side and another piece to the case so you can secure the flap closed.

CD ideas include Love Song CD for Valentine's Day, Wedding favors, Photo CD, birthday favors (with children's music), The possibilities are endless.
