Supplies:

Scor-Pal®

Scor-Tape™ - “Premium” double sided adhesive

Stamps- Unfrogettable and Lily Pad wheel by SU!

Paper- 2 pieces of Real Red cardstock, 4 ¼” x 8 ½”

            2 pieces of White cardstock 1 ½” x 3”

Corner rounder punch

Ink, cardstock and accessories to embellish.

Step 1:

Score one side at 1 1/2”. Turn your piece over from top to bottom so the left hand side is in the same orientation. Score at 3”.

Repeat with the second piece of red cardstock.  Mountain fold the 1 ½” score line and Valley fold the 3” score line.  Stamp if desired. We turned the cardstock over for the second score so you will be folding with the score line to the outside.

Turn cardstock over top to bottom, left side of paper remains in the same orientation.

Step 2:

Find the 1 ½” measurement on the right side of the first piece of white cardstock.  (It will be the halfway mark on the 3” side).  Make a score mark from that point to the bottom left corner of the cardstock.  Repeat with the second piece of white cardstock.

*See picture. Stamp if desired. This time you are folding with the score line to the inside.

Step 3:

Fold the first white cardstock on the scored line and lay it on the first red piece as shown below.  Cut away a tiny piece of the white cardstock where it forms a point.

Step 4:

Place the cut edge of the white cardstock against the valley fold of the red cardstock as shown.  The top of the white piece should be close to the top edge of the red.  Apply Scor-Tapeto the triangle section of the white cardstock that was folded back and peel off the paper backing.  Fold the red cardstock down on top of the tape to attach the white piece to the red piece

The Wiper mechanism should look like this when attached. Repeat Steps 3 & 4 with the remaining pieces of red & white cardstock.

Step 5:

Sandwich the first red piece on top of the second red piece, with the attached white pieces on the inside.  Apply Scor-Tape to the front and back pieces of red cardstock between the edge and the first scored line (1 ½” mark).  Attach the layers together as shown below:

The wiper mechanisms should fold inside the card when closed and pop up when the sides are pulled.   It sometimes helps the wipers move more smoothly if the top corners are rounded with a corner punch.

Step 6:

Stamp and embellish your Wiper Card as desired.

Diana: When I first made this card I made it in scrap paper first. This way I could see the orientation of the paper and I could decorate my cardstock and wipers before assembling them.
